Apple Card Now Provides 3% Daily Cash When Shopping at T-Mobile: The Best Way to Pay for Your Mobile

The Apple Card is most rewarding when used to make purchases from select merchants using Apple Pay. Purchases made with the physical credit card, earn just 1% cash back. Currently, the locations that give you 3% cash back for using Apple Pay with an Apple Card are:

Apple and Nike are teaming up for an exclusive Apple Card promo that starts today and runs into October. When shopping at Nike stores, online, and in-app, Apple Card holders can earn an impressive 6% cash back on their purchases when using Apple Pay.

Apple Card Now Provides 3% Daily Cash When Shopping at T-Mobile

Daily Cash is a new feature on the Apple Card, designed to change the way redeeming rewards works. As Apple cardholders shop, they can earn 3 percent cash back on Apple purchases and at select merchants when you pay with Apple Pay (currently Exxon Mobil, T-Mobile, Uber, Uber Eats, Walgreens and Duane Reade), 2 percent on other purchases made using Apple Pay and 1 percent on everything else.

Walgreens, and by extension Duane Reade which the drug store chain purchased in 2010, partnered with Apple Card in September, offering the 3% cash back credit card benefit when using Apple Pay or when swiping the card, if Apple Pay was unavailable.

1. 3% Daily Cash is available in the United States when using Apple Card with Apple Pay online, in the mobile app and at participating stores listed at acehardware.com/applecard. Excludes online and mobile app gift card purchases and purchases from third-party merchants using independent point-of-sale systems within a participating Ace Hardware store. Please check with your local participating Ace Hardware store whether your purchases are eligible for 3% Daily Cash.

2. An Apple Cash card is required to use Daily Cash except if you do not have an Apple Cash card, in which case you can apply your Daily Cash as a credit to your statement balance. Apple Cash card is issued by Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC. See apple.com/apple-cash for more information. Daily Cash is earned on purchases after the transaction posts to your account. Actual posting times vary by merchant. Daily Cash is subject to exclusions, and additional details apply. See the Apple Card Customer Agreement for more information.

Currently, Apple pays 3% cashback on Apple Card purchases made using Apple Pay at select merchants, including Apple itself, as well as Uber/Uber Eats, Walgreens, Nike, Panera Bread, T-Mobile, ExxonMobil, and Ace Hardware. Apple Card purchases will receive 2% cashback when Apple Pay is used and 1% back when the titanium card is used or when a virtual card number is used to shop online.

Did you use the physical card or use Apple Pay to pay with your Apple Card? According to the following, the 6% (and also Nike's normal 3%) is only when using Apple Pay to pay with the Apple Card. -card-nike-6-percent-daily-cash/

Furthermore, the Apple Card's rewards program isn't necessarily as compelling as other cards'. Its top tier cash-back rate of 3% applies only to Apple products (and services) and a modest, though growing, list of merchants that includes Duane Reade and Walgreens, Exxon and Mobil, Uber and a handful of others. Otherwise, you get 2% cash back on purchases made using Apple Pay and 1% on everything else. In contrast, the Citi Double Cash Card offers 2% on all purchases -- 1% at purchase and 1% when you pay off the purchase -- no matter how you pay.

It's also worth noting that the Apple Card offers no new signup bonus -- a staple of the cash-back card category that can earn you hundreds of dollars when you meet certain spending thresholds. For example, the Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card* earns a $300 bonus when you spend $3,000 within the first three months. And that's on top of the 4% cash back on dining, entertainment and popular streaming services, 3% at grocery stores and 1% back on all other purchases.

In its ongoing effort to improve the value of its new credit card, Apple (AAPL 1.92%) continues to expand the number of merchants that qualify for 3% cash-back rewards for Apple Card. The latest addition is Nike (NKE -0.32%), which will now qualify for the highest tier of Daily Cash when users make purchases using Apple Pay at its retail stores in the U.S. and online.

Apple Card was announced during Apple's Show Time event on March 25, 2019, at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California, and is now available to the public. It is a mobile-first credit card that's tightly integrated into the Wallet app on iPhone and offers exclusive cash-back benefits for Apple-related purchases. The card represents an opportunity for Apple to bring its user-friendly interfaces and functionality to an industry that is known for moving slowly when it comes to adopting new technology.

Apple Card is a cash-back credit card that offers 2% cash-back on all purchases when you pay with Apple Pay and 1% cash-back when you pay using the physical card. Cardholders also earn 3% cash-back on purchases made directly from Apple, including purchases made at iTunes, the App Store, as well as subscriptions like Apple Music, Apple News+, and iCloud storage. Apple has also added 3% Daily Cash back on Apple Pay purchases at the following merchants:

Every eligible purchase with the Apple Card earns cash back, called Daily Cash. Unlike many cashback cards that earn cashback rewards, the Apple Card offers daily deposits of any cash rewards you earn for quick and easy access. You typically have to wait until your rewards post with other credit card rewards programs, which might not be until the next billing cycle.

Apple Card also gives you daily cash rewards instead of points. For every purchase you make, you get 2% Daily Cash, which is added to your Apple Cash card each day for you to use with Apple Pay. If you make any purchases with Apple, such as in an Apple Store, App Store, iTunes, etc., then you get 3% Daily Cash.

Apple advertises the Apple Card as a competitive 2% cash back card, but remember, that's only when you use Apple Pay. However, many credit card issuers have products that offer similar or better rewards without any extra steps.

For instance, Citi's Double Cash Card has emerged as one of the most popular cash back cards on the market. It delivers 1% daily cash back and earns another 1% after you pay your bill. Similarly, the Wells Fargo Active Cash Card delivers a no-nonsense 2% cash back on all purchases, with no extra steps or strings attached.

If you use Apple Pay every day and make a lot of purchases through Apple, the Apple Card might be worth picking up. However, if you're looking for the best daily cash back card available, there are better options on the market right now.

Think of your last credit card transaction. It may have been a cup of coffee or when you went out to dinner with friends. Today, Apple makes it easy for consumers to pay for products and services with Apple Pay. You may be wondering, can I get cashback with Apple Pay? The answer is yes. Here's what you need to know about earning cash back through Apple Pay purchases.

So if you're planning to purchase Apple services or products, I recommend using Apple Pay to earn the three percent cash back. This applies to any Apple.com purchase and includes services such as Apple Music and Apple TV+. If you want to earn rewards for other credit cards, you may be able to link them to your Apple Pay Card. Check with your financial institution to see if this is possible. You can get even more rewards and cash back on grocery shopping, gasoline, and restaurants.

Apple Pay is a secure and contactless way to make your everyday purchases. Just remember to link a debit and credit card before you start using Apple Pay for cash back and look for the Apple Pay symbol when you shop at stores. Happy shopping!

Buying products and services with your card, in most cases, will count as a purchase; however, the following types of transactions won't count and won't earn points: Balance transfers, cash advances or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, fees of any kind, including an annual fee, if applicable. 1% Cash Back: You'll earn 1% Cash Back rewards for each $1 spent. 3% Cash Back in the drugstore and dining at restaurants categories: You'll earn 3% Cash Back rewards total for each $1 spent on purchases in the following rewards categories: drugstores and dining at restaurants (2% additional Cash Back rewards on top of the 1% Cash Back rewards earned on each purchase). 5% Cash Back on Ultimate Rewards travel bookings: You'll earn 5% Cash Back rewards total for each $1 spent on travel purchases booked using your card through the Ultimate Rewards program including available airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, activities and cruises (4% additional Cash Back rewards on top of the 1% Cash Back rewards earned on each purchase). 5% Cash Back in quarterly bonus categories: You'll earn 5% Cash Back rewards total for each $1 spent until $1,500 is spent on combined purchases in the quarterly bonus categories each quarter that you activate the bonus (4% additional Cash Back rewards on top of the 1% Cash Back rewards earned on each purchase). You must activate your 5% Bonus Cash Back each quarter by the activation deadline. 5% Cash Back quarterly bonus categories may include individual select merchants in addition to bonus rewards categories. After $1,500 is spent on combined purchases in the quarterly bonus categories each quarter, you go back to earning 1% Cash Back rewards for each $1 spent, with no maximum. For more information on 5% Cash Back quarterly bonus offers, please visit chase.com/freedomflex Opens in a new window and select the Chase Freedom Flex FAQs link at the bottom of the page. For a purchase to qualify for the 5% bonus Cash Back, the merchant must submit charges to your credit card by the last day of the relevant calendar quarter. 5% Cash Back in the grocery store category (excluding Walmart and Target) until the earlier of the end of your first 12 months or first $12,000 spent: You'll earn 5% Cash Back rewards total for each $1 spent on purchases in the grocery store category (excluding Walmart and Target) made within your first 12 months from account opening, or until you reach $12,000 in grocery store purchases, whichever occurs first (4% additional Cash Back rewards on top of the 1% Cash Back rewards earned on each purchase). Please note, if grocery stores is a quarterly bonus category during your first 12 months, you can earn both this 5% new cardmember bonus and the 5% quarterly bonus offers simultaneously until you reach the spend cap for each. However, because both bonuses are earned as 4% additional Cash Back rewards on top of the 1% Cash Back rewards earned on each purchase, the most you will earn is 9% Cash Back rewards: 1% on every purchase, plus 4% on grocery stores through this new cardmember bonus, plus 4% on grocery stores through the quarterly bonus. The additional 4% Cash Back rewards will appear on your billing statement in a separate line from the base 1% Cash Back rewards. 5% total Cash Back on qualifying Lyft rides through 03/2025: You'll earn an additional 4% Cash Back rewards for each $1 spent when your card is used for qualifying Lyft products and services purchased through the Lyft mobile application through 03/31/2025. Qualifying Lyft products and services include rides taken in Classic, Shared, Lux, or XL modes; bike and scooter rides; and subscription and membership products. Purchase of gift cards, car rentals, vehicle service centers, miscellaneous fees, and other Lyft products and services are excluded from this promotion. Future Lyft products or services may not be eligible for additional Cash Back. You may see "5% Cash Back rewards" in marketing materials to refer to the 4% Cash Back rewards earned in addition to the 1% Cash Back rewards earned on all purchases. The additional 4% Cash Back rewards will appear on your billing statement in a separate line from the 1% Cash Back rewards. Lyft is not responsible for the provision of, or the failure to provide, Chase benefits or services. How you can use your points: You can use your points to redeem for any available reward options, including cash, gift cards, travel, and pay with points for products or services made available through the program or directly from third-party merchants. Redemption values for reward options vary. Points expiration/losing points: Your points don't expire as long as your account is open, however, you'll immediately lose all your points if your account status changes, or your account is closed for program misuse, fraudulent activities, failure to pay, bankruptcy, or other reasons described in the terms of the Rewards Program Agreement. Rewards Categories: Merchants who accept Visa/Mastercard credit cards are assigned a merchant code, which is determined by the merchant or its processor in accordance with Visa/Mastercard procedures based on the kinds of products and services they primarily sell. We group similar merchant codes into categories for purposes of making rewards offers to you. Please note: We make every effort to include all relevant merchant codes in our rewards categories. However, even though a merchant or some of the items that it sells may appear to fit within a rewards category, the merchant may not have a merchant code in that category. When this occurs, purchases with that merchant won't qualify for rewards offers on purchases in that category. Purchases submitted by you, an authorized user, or the merchant through third-party payment accounts, mobile or wireless card readers, online or mobile digital wallets, or similar technology will not qualify in a rewards category if the technology is not set up to process the purchase in that rewards category.
